We're Growing, We're Hiring! Black Health Matters is seeking a Business Development Manager to join our dynamic team. This position is hybrid with occasional opportunities to attend or participate in live events and programs. The Business Development Manager role is a full-time position.

Our partners represent a “who’s who” in the Black Community, including but not limited to: The Association of Black Cardiologists, Black Enterprise, BET Networks, Hepatitis Foundation International, Gay Men’s Health Crisis, Jack and Jill of America, The National Medical Association, The Links, Inc., and Sisters Network (Breast Cancer) among others. These partners allow for greater access to segments within the African American community.
The Business Development Manager must be focused on promoting a positive image of the organization and its business partners. Key to this position is a proactive and solution-oriented style, excellent project manager and communication skills, and rigorous attention to detail. Candidates must have the ability to manage multiple activations that will be directed by the internal BHM Business Development team. Simultaneously, strong computer software skills, relationship marketing (outreach) skills and interact with senior management and handle confidential information.

Requirements
In this role, you will contact digital agencies and complete RFP’s for digital and social media buys on BHM. You will serve as theday-to-day contact. You will present BHM’s digital patient and HCP initiatives, including the website, newsletters and social media. The candidate should be able to create compelling PowerPoint presentations and have strong listening and communication skills.
Additionally, you will develop proposals to have clients utilize the BHM ecosystem of relationship marketings, educational events and more.
- Employ best practices of agile development and planned iterative delivery techniques.
- Leverage audience targets, analytics data,digitaltrends, user behaviors, competitive audits and other data to develop strategy and articulate how it would translate to digital features of the planned platforms
- Consult on business and strategy requirements for platform builds
- Deliver and defend digital strategy solutions to agency team and clients; must have specific experience working with executive-level clients
Preferred qualifications:
- Understanding of the pharmaceutical and life science industry
- Experience in meeting with marketing, commercial, R&D, patient advocacy personnel
- Ability to write grants
- Ability to influence decisions at the executive level.
- Proven track record of strong work ethic, ability to navigate ambiguity, and solid communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Build the executive relationships with customers and provide innovative concepts for pushing health equity through use of the BHM ecosystem
- Direct and manage entire business cycles, discuss terms and provide metrics on the success of campaigns and initiatives
- Lead detailed account strategy in generating and developing business growth opportunities, working cross-functionally with multiple lines of business including, and opening up opportunities with big pharma customers.
- Manage complex national accounts with multiple opportunities across different functions with forecast and budgetary accuracy, serving as the primary customer contact for all adoption-related activities.
- Add value and be viewed as a trusted advisor by bringing compelling insights and ideas with follow-through execution.
